Artisan and leather shopping in Bologna

The traditional side of shopping in Bologna, with an image consultant: leather goods, independent workshops and long-standing addresses such as a historic perfumery.

The other side of shopping in Bologna

Not everything worth buying in Bologna sits in the luxury quarter. Behind the main streets there are independent shops and family businesses that locals have used for generations, where a leather bag or a perfume comes with a story.

In the questionnaire you choose “local addresses” and tell me what you are looking for. I select the shops that fit and prepare the route before you arrive.

In each shop I help you read the material and the finish, so you know what you are paying for, and I tell you whether the piece suits you and how to wear it with what you already own.

Mix it with the rest of the city

An artisan route combines well with a vintage shop or with an appointment in the boutiques of Galleria Cavour, especially on a full day. If you are not sure what you want, start from the personal shopper page and let the questionnaire decide.

Frequently asked questions

Which shops will we visit?

It depends on your questionnaire and on what you want to find. I choose the addresses for you and confirm the route before you arrive.

Is the price the same as the luxury tour?

Yes. The half day is €450 for one or two people and the full day starts at €750. The fee does not change with what you buy.

Can we mix artisan shops with luxury boutiques?

Yes. On a full day especially, we can combine traditional addresses with appointments in Galleria Cavour.

Do small shops offer tax-free shopping?

Some do and some do not. If you are entitled to it, ask for tax-free at the till, with your passport, before you pay. It only applies when you spend more than €70 in the same shop, and the receipt is then validated at customs when you leave the EU. It does not apply to the tour fee.
